Summer At Goose Downs' 2008

My name is Ashleigh Humphrey and i spent my summer 2008 at Goose Downs' Farm as a working student. I will honestly say it was tough & tiring. An average teenager will not last there for one day. The farm is completely isolated with nothing in site for miles except mountains and horses. With no cell phone service or WIFI connection, the average teenager is socially doomed. Whenever my parents sent me off here for the summer, they figured i would be calling them in a week wanting to come home. They were wrong. Sure, the place is isolated, tiring, and at times downright miserable, but that didnt stop me from toughing it out and learning as much as i could BY THE MOST EXPERIENCED STAFF I HAVE EVER MET IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. When i arrived at goose downs' i viewed the farm as THE PERFECT ENVIRONMENT FOR LEARNING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE and THE PERFECT PLANS FOR ACHEIVING GOALS AND IMPROVING DRAMATICALLY. I took advantage of my stay at Goose Downs' and encourage more serious riders my age to come here and experience a real training program that is amazing for the horse and rider. I regret nothing about my stay at Goose Downs' and plan to be back Summer 2009 to learn even more! Thank you Jeffray, Tom, Kathleen, and all of Goose Downs' staff for the amazing oppurtunity i experienced. It really is like nothing else.
